PSystar Sells T Shirts Instead of Mac Clones

PSystar is a company that took some downloadable software called Rebel EFI and began to build Macintosh clones, selling them through it’s website. Apple sued the company and after a year and a half later got an injunction against PSystar so it could no longer build and sell the machines. PSystar also is required to pay Apple $2.7 million in damages according to the settlement.

The company plans to appeal the injunction and is seeking clarity on the availability of the software, Rebel EFI, for download online. In the meantime, PSystar has begun selling t shirts (and asking for donations) to generate revenue or to make fun of the situation, no one is quite sure. The t shirts say ‘I sued PSystar.’ on the front and “…and all I got was a lousy injunction.’ on their back. The company hopes to sell more t shirts than it sold Macintosh clones, 1,000 to date.
