1. Build your own robot

The MIT (Massachusetts institute of technology) were granted $10 million from the National Science Foundation to carry out their project on developing a desktop technology that would allow user to design, create and print your own specialised robot. The potential of this is huge as robots can be created to ensure disaster relief and personalized health care.

2. Make you own jewellery

Every woman’s dream. Just imagine how much money would be saved if you created your own necklaces and bracelets plus, you could be as creative and imaginative as you like. Many wholesale traders are creating their own jewellery and passing it on to reseller using this 3D technology but I don’t think it’s quite ready yet for home users.

3. Medical Industry: Bones

Yes that’s right, bones! I had to look twice when I first read this but 3D printer can actually be used to create “bone like” material which in turn can be used to repair injuries. 3D printers were first used to produce 3D objects from damaged bone images by first using a CAT scanner to produce the image, followed by a 3D printer to create the model.

4. Shoes

Melissas, a Brazilian footwear company created a shoe for women out of the plastic known as Melflex. The difficulty is that most polymers that are used within 3D printers are hard and inflexible which can make the object uncomfortable but students and designers haven’t been deferred by this and are finding new ways to make the shoes more comfortable.

5. Food

Can you imagine having a 3D printer next to microwave? Many restaurants and food outlets would be able to use this for food that requires high precision like cake or icing decorations. Who knows in five years’ time, you could have one in your home?

Well that’s it, 5 things that can be made with a 3D printer but what If you had access to a 3D printer, what would you create?

T-Shirts For Every Occasion – From Casual To Business

There are certain types of T-shirts that can be worn by men in today’s world of fashion that are compatible with every occasion and setting that you may have to go to. This article provides a detailed discussion of some of those specific shirt types.

Millions upon millions of shirts are being sold and purchased every day from stores all around the world. As soon as you walk into the Men’s department of any clothing store, you automatically see the shelves and racks full of a variety of different types and colors of shirts. Do you have to buy them all to be fashionably stylish? No. You just need to be wise in deciding which shirts you want to add to your wardrobe. There are specific types of shirts that can be worn at every occasion – from fun and casual all the way to business and formal. What are they?

Polo Shirts

Polo shirts are extremely flexible clothing items that can literally be used with almost every single occasion and setting. You can wear a polo shirt with a pair of jeans for the casual touch that you may want for social gatherings or just going to the store. You can take that same shirt and put on some dress pants if you need more of a business casual look for work or a professional meeting. If you like to spend time with your friends at the club, keep in mind that polo shirts come in handy when it comes to following the dress code of a lot of different nightclubs that have one. Even though the original polo shirt was designed for athletic purposes, it has truly evolved over the years into a necessity for any man’s wardrobe.

Button-Down Dress Shirt

There is an abundance of different types and styles of button-down dress shirts that can also be used for different occasions in different settings. For instance, let’s say that you have a solid white dress shirt that you wore with your black suit to church. Just like with the polo shirt, you have several wardrobe options that you can choose from by changing the setting but without changing your shirt. You can put on a pair of jeans for a casual look. Some men decide to tuck their shirts into their pants when they do this; others refuse to tuck it and choose to just maintain a more relaxed, casual look. You can also put on a different pair of dress pants or trousers to go along with your dress shirt, with or without a necktie. A lot of men choose the shirt that they wear under their dress shirt wisely so that the color of that shirt also coordinates with their overall outfit.

Be Flexible, Not Tacky

The flexibility of options when it comes to dressing yourself with the same shirt for all occasions is a great privilege! However, this privilege comes with a great responsibility as well. There is a thin line between an outfit appearing flexible with a great presentation and an outfit that appears tacky and not even worth a second look. Make sure that you stay away from the latter condition as much as possible.
