It was February 12th of 2014 when Vistaprint launched its first premier product fair. It took place in the Winterthur Design & Technology Center in Switzerland. It was the brain child of Robert Keane (Vistaprint‘s CEO and founder) and Hauke Hansen (Chief Manufacturing Officer). The fair gave the Vistaprint employees who worked on the manufacturing, marketing and technology teams, a chance to have a look at new products and samples. Employees then got to vote on what products were their favorites, based on best business practices and reading the emotional reactions of Vistaprint’s clientele.
When the product fair ended, several teams gathered together to hold a multi-disciplinary meeting and discuss efficiency, quality, and cost-reduction ideas for Vistaprint. This type of interaction was a great way to let team members challenge themselves and their abilities, and find ways to offer customers great products that met with new and various changing needs. This event helped to build the teams and inspire creativity, and give them an enthusiasm going forward as Vistaprint strives to gain manufacturing and technological excellence, while expanding their own portfolio.
